The encounter took place in the forest area of Miratur police station area of Bijapur. Weapons have also been recovered from the spot.
Giving information, Bijapur SP Anjaneya Varshney said that this encounter took place in Pomra forests of Mirtur police station area. At the same time, news has been received that weapons have also been recovered from the spot. According to the information, the killed Naxalites have not been identified. Late last evening, the security forces personnel had gone out on anti-Naxal operation. At the same time, there was an encounter with CRPF, DRG, and STF personnel at around 8 am today.
Earlier, on Thursday, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) once again got a major success under the ongoing anti-Naxal campaign Operation Octopus at Budha Pahar located on the border of Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh. About 12 IEDs hidden by Naxalites were recovered in the forests of Budha Pahar in a joint operation by CRPF and Police.

At the same time, during the joint operation of CRPF’s Cobra Battalion and Chhattisgarh Police, 12 IED bombs planted by Naxalites were recovered in the forest. In this sequence, CRPF is continuously campaigning to curb it. In such a situation, once again the jawans killed three Naxalites.
