Xbox and Bethesda announced a slew of games during their joint showcase. We take stock of the announcements
After the PlayStation conference which pleasantly surprised us, it’s Xbox’s turn to give news of the next games to come on its ecosystem. This year, the company’s presentation was separated into two parts, one concerning first and third party games, while the other was entirely devoted to Starfield. In all, 26 games were mentioned during this dense and varied showcase. If you are lost, here are the 5 announcements that you absolutely must remember.
Fable
The return of the heroic fantasy franchise had already been announced, but the trailer presented during the Xbox Showcase hit the mark. In this new reboot opus, it is always the player who decides the fate of his character and the definition he wishes to apply to the word “hero”. We find the characteristic British humor of the license, which does not disorient us.
South of Midnight
Compulsion Games unveils a new game that already promises to be a killer. South of Midnight takes place in a fantastic universe inspired by Louisiana and all its folklore. This notably involves its musical universe and its decorations worthy of the real Bayou. No gameplay has yet been shared, but we will have to keep an eye on this title over the coming months.
Senua’s Saga Hellblade II
Here is a game that will have kept us waiting. After the critical and commercial success of the first opus, Hellblade returns with its sequel which promises to be just as thrilling as ever. The trailer shared by the studio shows us Senua who is still fighting her mental illness, which is very artistically transcribed in the game. See you in 2024 to find out what the title has in store for us.
ebb
A bit of calm and beauty with ebb. Created by Don’t Nod, this independent game promises a complete change of scenery. We focus on a young person, adept at climbing on real terrain. Our hero is accompanied by a creature with an extraterrestrial look who can sometimes help him overcome some trials. More than climbing mechanics, the world of ebb offers a ton of challenges in addition to wonderful scenery.
Clockwork Revolution
It will be one of the next nuggets straight out of Xbox Game Studios. Clockwork Revolution takes us into a steampunk world controlled by Lady Ironwood. She reigns over this universe with an iron fist (do you have it?) which is not to everyone’s taste. But whoever rubs it, gets offended. We embody a character from the resistance who will create a mess where the iron lady least expects it.
And many others
Besides these 5 games, Xbox has presented many other titles, indie like AAA, which will arrive by the next year on consoles, PC and Xbox Game Pass. Note, for example, the collaboration between Sea of Thieves And Monkey Islandthe revelation of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 or the new game from the creators of Spiritfarer named 33 Immortals.
