A conspiracy was hatched to assassinate Putin, a bomb was placed under the bridge through which the Russian President was about to pass!

Moscow (moscow). A ‘plot to assassinate’ Russian President Vladimir Putin on a bridge in Moscow has reportedly been foiled by the Russian Secret Service. The assassination plot was allegedly hatched by laying explosives in the river under the bridge through which the Russian President’s convoy was about to pass. According to the Telegram channel VCHK-OGPU, the Federal Protection Service (FSO), responsible for protecting top Russian officials, claims they foiled a plot to blow up the bridge.

According to a report, the Telegram channel claimed that explosives were suspected to have been placed under an unknown bridge that Putin’s motorcade was expected to pass through. The unidentified bridge is believed to be on the way to the Kremlin and Putin’s official residence outside Moscow. According to the VCHK-OGPU post, ‘the FSO was investigating a plot to assassinate Putin by means of explosives placed at the bottom of the Moskva River from a boat. A duty officer of the Federal Security Service reported a suspicious boat under the bridge.

Reports claim that divers were seen entering the water after the suspicious boat was asked to move ‘due to vehicular movement on the bridge’. The security agency is said to have also checked the papers of the crew of the boat which suggested that they were repairing the bridge. No information has been given in the news about the discovery of explosives or the involvement of people in it.

Putin increased his security
In some reports, it is being called a conspiracy to ‘kill Putin’. This news comes at a time when Russia is fighting a war with Ukraine and the recent failed coup attempt by the Wagner Group. Due to fears of rebellion, Putin has increased his personal security. There are reports that Yevgeny Prigozhin, chief of the Wagner Group who led the rebellion, has been sent into exile in Belarus.
