Islamabad. Pakistan’s Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has said that legal proceedings will be initiated against Khan within two-three weeks for the violence that broke out after the May 9 arrest of former Prime Minister Imran Khan in a corruption case.

Khan, 70, who heads the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, denied his involvement in the violence, saying he was in jail when the violence took place. Sanaullah said in an interview with ‘Geo News’ on Saturday night that Khan was “100 per cent” responsible for the violent protests.

The home minister said, “Whatever happened in Pakistan… Hatred in Pakistani politics, chaos in Pakistan’s politics, economic decline in Pakistan and instability in the country: only one person is behind it all.” His name is Imran Khan.” The minister alleged that Khan had poisoned the minds of the youth and was not ready to accept anything less than “death of political opponents”.
