Kabul: The deputy governor of Afghanistan’s northern Badakhshan province was killed in a car bomb attack on Tuesday. The spokesperson of the Northern Province gave this information.
Badakhshan’s chief information officer Mahjudin Ahmadi said a car bomb attack also killed deputy governor Nisar Ahmad Ahmadi, his driver and six civilians. Badakhshan is a northern state of Afghanistan, which borders China and Tajikistan.
Chief Information Officer Mahjuddin Ahmadi said it was not clear who was behind the attack. This is the first major attack on a Taliban official in Afghanistan in the last few weeks.
