Surrey Bridge. Twenty-four passengers were killed when a minibus fell into a ravine in Sayad district of northern Sari Pul province in Afghanistan on Wednesday evening. Provincial police spokesman Din Mohammad Nazari gave this information on Thursday.
He said that 24 people lost their lives in accidents due to negligent driving. The dead included 12 women, eight children and four men.
Only one woman survived the accident but was badly injured. This is the second road accident in Afghanistan in a single day. 14 passengers were injured in a road accident in central Bamiyan province yesterday morning.
