According to the Hong Kong Airport Authority (HKAA), at around 00:20 local time, Cathay Pacific’s CX 880 flight to Los Angeles was prevented from taking off from the airport due to a signal discrepancy and the emergency rescue ladder was immediately opened for evacuation. The injured passengers were sent to the hospital and nine of them have been discharged from the hospital.
