A private flight from Chennai to Doha with 139 passengers on board developed a technical glitch early on Friday while it was preparing to take off. After this the aircraft returned from the runway.
An official associated with the Chennai airport said the plane was preparing to take off on the runway when the glitch was detected and the pilots sought permission to return from the runway.
He said 139 passengers were offloaded from the plane and arrangements were made for their stay in hotels in the city. Passengers are likely to proceed to their destinations after the technical issue is resolved.
