The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) has taken cognizance of the custody of a 9-year-old girl in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. Regarding the custody of the child, the Child Commission has issued a notice to the Collector and sought a reply within three days. Please tell that the woman has accused her own husband of misbehaving with her 9-year-old daughter. At the same time, since the registration of the case, the girl child is in the custody of the CWC i.e. Child Welfare Committee.
What is the whole matter?
According to information, 2 months back the woman had lodged an FIR against her husband at Sakri police station in Bilaspur. Since then the girl is in the custody of CWC. The woman told that earlier her child was being taken to another place and neither her statement was recorded. But after repeated pressure, the statement of the girl child was recorded. But even after this, she did not get the custody of the girl back. The woman alleges that during this time she was not even allowed to meet her daughter.
Let us tell you that after recording the statement of 164 in such a case, the custody of the child is given to his family members. But even after two months have passed in this case, the CWC has not handed over the custody of the girl child to her mother or any other family member.
The woman did not get any help
In this case, the woman made several visits to the court and the collectorate as well, but got no help from anywhere. After this, the woman pleaded with the police for the custody of the girl child. But there was no hearing of him there either.
After getting tired, the woman sat on a dharna in front of the collectorate on Saturday afternoon. Administration officials tried to convince the woman, but she did not agree. After this, on Monday, after the administration’s advice, the family members took the woman with them.
On Monday, Aam Aadmi Party workers also sat on a dharna in front of the collectorate in support of the woman. However, later the police removed them from there. For which AAP has targeted the state government.
