London. China’s secret police station in Britain has been closed. This information has been given by British Security Minister Tom Tugendhat in a written statement in Parliament.
The security minister said in a written statement that the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office has told the Chinese embassy that any actions related to such ‘police service stations’ in the UK are unacceptable and they should not operate in any form.
He said that the police are there to protect the people. Each state has its own police force. But what if the police station of another country is also opened in another country. Actually, this news had come in which it was claimed that the police station was opened in Britain by China. After which British Security Minister Tom Tugendhat said on Tuesday that China had closed police service stations at sites across Britain. No illegal activity by the Chinese state was detected at these sites. Any other allegations will be swiftly investigated in line with UK law.
Significantly, earlier in the month of April, there was news that China had set up an intelligence police post in New York City, USA. Two men were arrested by the FBI on charges of running a secret station for China’s police force in New York and using it as a base to track Chinese dissidents living in the US.
