A decline is being seen in the cases of Covid 19 in India. According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry on Tuesday, 112 new cases of coronavirus infection have been registered in India, while the active cases have come down to 3,490.

But at the same time, after the relaxation of corona restrictions in India’s neighboring country China, there was a rapid spurt in corona cases, which increased the concern of people all over the world.

Hospitals overwhelmed by increasing patients of Covid

After the relaxation of Covid-19 restrictions, there is a huge jump in the cases of coronavirus in China. Epidemiologist and health economist Eric Feigel-Ding tweeted and showed that hospitals in China are completely overwhelmed.

Epidemiologist Eric Feigel-Ding estimates that more than 60% of China and 10% of the Earth’s population are expected to be infected in the next 90 days. Along with this, he has also expressed the possibility of death of lakhs of people.

Hospitals in cities other than the Chinese capital are also struggling to cope with the surge.

Is China experiencing the first of three possible Covid waves this winter?

Epidemiologist Wu Zunyao told a conference on Saturday that the current spike in infections would last until mid-January, while a second wave would begin in January with mass travel, which coincides with the week-long Lunar New Year celebrations that begin on January 21. New Year) will be around. Millions of people usually travel at this time to spend holidays with family in China.

Dr. Wu said the third surge in cases would run from late February to mid-March as people return to work after the holidays.

According to Dr. Wu, current vaccination levels have provided a certain level of protection against the surge and have resulted in a reduction in the number of severe cases.

one of the cremation grounds full of dead bodies

According to a Wall Street Journal report, one of Beijing’s designated cremation grounds for Covid-19 patients has been filled with corpses in recent days.

China says that more than 90% of its population has been fully vaccinated. However, less than half of people aged 80 and older have received three doses of the vaccine. Elderly people are more likely to have severe symptoms of Covid.

China, like India, has developed and produced vaccines that have been shown to be less effective in protecting people from severe COVID disease and death than mRNA vaccines used in the rest of the world.

Meanwhile, China’s largest city, Shanghai, has ordered most of its schools to take online classes due to rising Covid cases.
