Delhi riots accused Umar Khalid has been granted interim bail for a week by the Delhi court. The court has granted interim bail to Khalid from 23 to 30 December. They will have to surrender on 30 December.
Umar Khalid had sought interim bail for 14 days from the Delhi court to attend his sister’s wedding. Hearing this, the Delhi court granted one week’s bail to Umar Khalid.

Earlier on Saturday i.e. December 3, Delhi’s Karkardooma Court acquitted Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) former student union leader Umar Khalid in a case of stone pelting in the 2020 Northeast Delhi riots. Another student leader Khalid Saifi was also acquitted in the case.
