Days after the inauguration of the Howrah-New Jalpaiguri Vande Bharat Express in West Bengal’s Malda district, stones were pelted, following which the BJP demanded an NIA probe into the incident. Speaking on the incident, BJP General Secretary Tarun Chugh said, this incident is unfortunate. This is an example of Mamata didi’s jungle rule. Everyday violence, murders, rapes, extortion incidents are happening in Bengal. Political workers are targeted. They should be investigated and strict action should be taken against the culprits.

The window panes of the Howrah-bound Vande Bharat Express were broken on Monday after some anti-social elements pelted stones at the recently launched train near Malda’s Kumarganj station in West Bengal. The incident came four days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off India’s 7th Vande Bharat Express en route from Howrah to New Jalpaiguri Junction. was launched from Howrah in the presence of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
