Washington. Former US President Donald Trump will appear in court on Tuesday in a criminal case filed for keeping classified documents at his residence. Earlier, he and his colleagues asked supporters to protest outside the court against it. Trump will appear in Miami court on Tuesday ie tomorrow. Ahead of the impeachment, the former president lashed out at Justice Department special counsel Jack Smith, calling him “demented” and his team of prosecutors “thugs.”
The former president said he was a victim of political vendetta. He asked his supporters to join him in a demonstration outside the Miami courthouse. “We need strength in our country now,” Trump told his friend and adviser Roger Stone in an interview with WABC Radio. They (supporters) have to go out and they have to protest peacefully.
The former president said, “Look, our country has to perform. There are many protests to be held. We’ve lost everything.” Trump vowed that he would remain in the presidential race despite the indictment. The former president insisted he had done nothing wrong.
Significantly, former US President Trump has been accused in the case related to keeping confidential documents. The indictment related to allegations that classified documents were found at Trump’s residence was made public on Friday. The case relates to the recovery of hundreds of classified documents from the Mar-a-Lago residence of Trump in Florida.
