An earthquake measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale was felt near Nashik in Maharashtra in the early hours of Wednesday, the National Center for Seismology (NCS) informed. According to NCS, movement of tectonic plates was felt under the earth’s surface at around 4 am, 89 km west of Nashik. The depth of the earthquake was 5 km below the ground. There are no immediate reports of casualties or damage to property. An earthquake of magnitude 4.3 occurred in Kargil district of Ladakh on Tuesday. NCS said that the epicenter of the earthquake was recorded 191 km north of Kargil at 10.05 am. Earthquake Probable The earthquake in the Himalayan region was at 36.27 degree north latitude and 76.26 degree east longitude at a depth of 10 km.
