the first details of The Last of Us Part III have just leaked online. What do we know about the game?
It would seem that big changes are at work for the rest of The Last of Us. Some of the details of the third installment of the video game franchise, in development at Naughty Dog, have managed to leak online. We learn who will be the main characters of The Last of Us Part III and what will be the role of the elders in all this. Here are the first information.
5 new characters
On Resetera, a user claims that the third game of the license will see the arrival of 5 new characters. They are named Lucas, Mason, Val, Ezra and Gracie and already have a more or less detailed description. We learn, for example, that Val will be the leader of the group, while Ezra will act as the antagonist. As for the narration, it is revealed during a simple plot:
“Part of the story will focus on a group of surviving scavengers on the outskirts of a post-apocalyptic city, crammed into a Victorian house that serves as their base..”
According to the Resetera post, some roles are more accurate than others, and it’s not yet known which of these characters will be playable. One thing is certain in any case, we should receive a lot of news. But what about old heads?
Where are Ellie and Abby?
Nothing in these leaks predisposes Ellie or even Abby to return to the front of the stage, let alone as main heroines. Same observation for Dina or even each of the old characters. However, it is very difficult to imagine the story of the game continuing without its key elements, despite the departure of Joel at the start of the second opus.

Another leaker, ViewerAaron, claims that a large part of the filming should be completed by the end of this year. As a reminder, The Last of Us is one of the franchises that uses motion capture to model its characters and their movements. Some of the actors who made the games, including Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson who played Joel and Ellie, appeared on the HBO series as David’s follower and Ellie’s mother respectively.
At this time, we have no confirmation that these allegations are true, so we have no names to sink our teeth into for the casting. We will have to wait for real information from Naughty Dog to be happy about anything, but the appearance of leaks always says a lot about the progress of a project.
