Microsoft announces the arrival of a new showcase dedicated to independent games.
It’s official, Xbox isn’t done with us for this summer. After a phenomenal showcase and Starfield Direct, the firm is back in just a few days to present the next releases on the side of the independent scene. Open your peepers wide because something heavy awaits us. [email protected] and IGN give us an appointment on July 11, but we do not yet know at what time or on what platform.
In a message posted on Twitter, the publisher informs us that we will be able to discover “preview of new games: trailers, gameplay, reveals and much more!” The end of the message resonates perfectly with the rest of the program which includes some demos to test.

Indeed, the date of July 11 coincides with the start of the Xbox demo festival, which is still part of the Summer Game Fest even if it is unofficially over for this year. It will take place from July 11 to 17 and will give you access to many indie games coming to consoles and PC. Currently, Steam offers us to do the same via its Neo Fest.
What to expect from this presentation?
As for the showcase program, Xbox does not let us down. Nothing is known about the games that will be presented. Information is to be expected by July 11, but for the moment we can only indulge in guesswork. On our side, we would like the firm to give us news of Hollow Knight Silksong which was presented at an Xbox conference many months ago.
But it is also possible to see it land during the Nintendo Direct announced by the competing studio for today. Never mind, Xbox partners with multiple talented indie studios that never end to amaze us with nuggets added Day One to Xbox Game Pass. Microsoft does not plan a hardware announcement for this showcase after unveiling its black Xbox Series S and its accessories Starfield.
