Santo Domingo. At least two people have been killed and some 28 injured in a massive explosion near the capital of the Dominican Republic. The officers provided this information. Officials said the explosion occurred at a bakery in the town of San Cristobal, west of Santo Domingo, and the fire spread to two nearby shops.
It is not yet clear what caused the explosion. The country’s 911 system reported that at least two people died in the blast. Pura Casilla, the governor of San Cristobal province, told news service Noticias Sin that at least 28 people were injured.
