America’s Federal Drug Administration (FDA) has approved the world’s most expensive drug. One dose of this medicine is worth 3.5 million US dollars i.e. 28.51 crore rupees. It is used in the treatment of Hemophilia B. This is a genetic disease, in which human blood is reduced (Reduced Blood Clotting). The name of this medicine is Hemgenix.
When the process or speed of blood clotting slows down in someone’s body, then bleeding from his body does not stop. It is very difficult to stop it. That’s why this medicine was made. A person suffering from hemophilia-B spends 171 to 187 crores in his whole life or so his government does. At least this happens in America.
