The leader of the Popular Party (PP), Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has supported the citizens who have taken to the streets this Saturday in protest against the Government of Pedro Sánchez and has called for the defense of democracy “with serenity and arguments”.
“Defense of democracy and the Constitution with serenity and arguments. Far from the noise of independence and free comparisons,” he said on the social network Twitter.
This Saturday a demonstration was held in Madrid under the slogan ‘For Spain, democracy and the Constitution’, organized by Foro España Cívica and Fundación Foro Libertad y Alternativa, with which they call to defend the Constitution, democracy and institutions against the “serious situation” of the “global crisis” in the political, economic and social spheres that, in his opinion, the country is going through.
Feijóo did not attend the demonstration this Saturday, but the party’s vice-secretary for organization, Miguel Tellado, did, who criticized the incompetence and arrogance of the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, and reminded him that “not everything is worth to stay in government.”
“This is an incompetent government. Its incompetence and arrogance are allowing sexual offenders to be released from prison prematurely and it is allowing more than 200 to have their sentences reduced,” Tellado said, referring to the “only if it is” law. Yeah’.
