Canada took a big decision regarding cigarettes

Notably, Canada recently announced that it would require health warnings to be printed directly on each cigarette. In other words, apart from the packet, now every cigarette will have a warning printed on it. This effort of Canada is to reduce the deaths due to tobacco. Canada has become the first country in the world to do so.

Canadian health officials behind this initiative claim that it will help those who want to quit smoking. Along with this, people will be more aware and avoid using tobacco. Canada has set a target of 5% reduction in tobacco use by 2035.
