Cairo. Four people were killed when a 13-storey building collapsed in Egypt’s northern coastal city of Alexandria. Government news website Ahram gave this information on Tuesday. The report said that the incident took place on Monday. Relief and rescue teams recovered two bodies from the debris late on Monday night. After this, the relief and rescue team found two more bodies on Tuesday. Four people have been injured in this accident, who are undergoing treatment in various hospitals.
Alexandria’s governor, Mohammed Taher, told state-run Nile TV that the building usually housed summer vacationers. The owner and contractor of the collapsed building have been charged with accidental manslaughter and grievous hurt as well as building without a permit.
