Britain’s Home Secretary Suella Braverman on Monday offered her “full support” to police in the country to speed up the use of stop and search powers to crack down on stabbings and such attacks. ‘ Gave. Tejaswini Koontham, a 27-year-old student from Hyderabad, was stabbed to death in north London last Tuesday. On Friday, Arvind Sivakumar, 38, from Kerala, was stabbed to death outside an apartment in south London. Suspects in all three cases are in custody who have been charged with murder. Braverman said in a statement, “Carrying a weapon is an anathema to our society. And anyone who does so puts their own lives and those around them at risk. This dangerous culture must stop.”
He said, “My first priority is keeping the public safe and those who insist on carrying weapons should know there will be consequences.
