The PlayStation Showcase, Summer Game Fest, and Xbox Showcase were all used to announce new games and keep us up to date with those in the works. But it is also an opportunity to give news of games already released through the announcement of updates, DLC and other partnerships. Xbox Showcase: 5 announcements you shouldn’t miss
Sea of Thieves x Monkey Island
If you have an Xbox or a PC, then you must know Sea of Thieves. Since 2018, it has been the reference in terms of piracy games. Already inspired by the world of Pirates of the Caribbean, the title is customary for collaborations and cameos of all kinds. During the Xbox showcase, the Rare studio unveiled the theme for the next expansion.
This one is called The Legend of Monkey Island, so it is not very difficult to make the connection with the game from LucasFilm Games. Guybrush Threepwood is back in an expansion that splits into three different journeys. The latter is free for all players, whether they go through a paid version of the game or the Game Pass. It will be available in-game from July 20.
Fallout 76 – Road to Atlantic City
Bethesda took advantage of the Xbox Showcase to mention one of its flagship licenses. fallout does not grant itself a new game, but a DLC for the controversial Fallout 76. The title, which now has 15 million players, will be entitled to its Road to Altaltic City extension. Unfortunately, neither the trailer nor the information shared after the conference tell us much about this update. A priori, it should be free for all owners of the game. We do not know when it will be released on consoles and PC.
Street Fighter x Exoprimal
This year is rather busy for Capcom. After Resident Evil 4 Remake which made a global hit, the firm launched its latest street fighter 6 and getting ready to go out Exoprimal, an adventure mixing robots and dinosaurs. The latter is scheduled for July 14, but joins forces with his fighting mate for a very special partnership.
Indeed, starting this fall, players will be able to discover exoskeleton skins bearing the image of Ryu and Guile, emblematic characters of street fighter 6. For the moment, the collaborative part in the fighting game has not been revealed, but Capcom teases us with a partnership for several incursions.
