Montevideo. The death toll in Haiti floods and landslides has risen to 42 and the number of injured to 85. The Haitian Directorate for Civil Defense gave this information on Monday.
“Forty-two people died, 85 were injured, 11 were missing and 13,633 houses were inundated due to inclement weather on June 02 and 03,” the agency said. The number of casualties reported earlier in the day by Civil Defense was 15 and eight people were missing. Tropical Storm Arlene brought heavy rain to Haiti on Saturday morning. Due to which there were floods and landslides in many districts.
