Square Enix reveals the PC requirements to run Forspoken. The players are not at the end of their sentences.
In a few days, fans of action-adventure games will be able to discover Forspoken, the latest big nugget from Square Enix. Available on PS5, PC players will not be left out and the studio reveals the minimum system requirements, as well as the recommended version and the ultra version for a more efficient setup. Here is the summary table:
To take advantage of Forspoken, you will need at least an AMD Ryzen 5 1600 or Intel Core i7-3770 CPU. Any later version will only improve your performance. Same thing at the level of the graphics card, it will still be necessary to count on an AMD Radeon RX 5500 or an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 at least.
In terms of resolution, you won’t be able to go below 720p and 30 fps, but the adventure will be all the more enjoyable with a 4K and 60 fps compatible gaming screen, especially given the dynamism of the gameplay. In any case, you will need an HDD or SDD of at least 150 GB.
If it remains rather decent, the impossibility of improving its configuration lately makes things difficult for many players. I have to say that Forspoken is a particularly demanding game, which is why Square Enix has concentrated its efforts on the latest generation machines, and has completely abandoned development on PS4, for example.
A masterful adventure
Forspoken is an adventure title that puts you in the shoes of Frey Holland, a young New Yorker who has been a delinquent since childhood who finds herself transported overnight to a magical world called Athia. Accompanied by a talking bracelet, she will have to discover what her role is in this whole story while helping the people of Athia to get out of their thorny situation.
