Netflix reveals the order in which viewers watched the Kaleidoscope series the most, and it is particularly surprising.
A few weeks ago, a new Netflix series was planning to cause a stir, in the midst of successive cancellations. Kaleidoscope prided itself on having a very interesting concept (chest), while it is the first series whose episodes can be watched in any order, without being an anthology like black-mirror or Love, Death and Robots.
Each episode is named after a color, and tells a part of the story of a heist like no other. Our heroes take a total of 25 years to commit the perfect crime, with an eclectic team made up of thugs of all kinds. The goal is to watch the chapters in the order you want, ending with the heist episode (White). The goal ? Try to guess who will betray who, which characters might not make it, and who will inherit the loot.

Upon its release, Netflix has advised several viewing orders to its subscriberswhether in chronological order, or to have the effect of a Tarantino film, a classic thriller or even a style à la Usual Suspects. However, it seems viewers favored their own strategies, which was ultimately the point of the series. According to Netflix, subscribers tend to watch episodes in this specific order:
- Yellow: 6 weeks before the robbery
- Green: 7 years before the robbery
- Blue: 5 days before the robbery
- Orange: 3 weeks before the robbery
- Violet: 25 years before the robbery
- Red: the morning after the robbery
- Rose: 6 months after the robbery
- White: the robbery
An astonishing order knowing that among the 6 recommendations of Netflix, none predisposes the yellow episode to land at the top of the list. A plausible explanation is that this is the first episode that appears when the series is launched. On our side, the chronological order has proven itself although having reversed a few episodes the whole remained quite understandable. Netflix has not only thought its concept well but has also executed it extremely well.
Apart from its original premise, the series uses talented actors to deliver a touching and action-packed story. We find Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul), Tati Gabrielle (You, The New Adventures of Sabrina) or even Rufus Sewell (The Father). All these beautiful people are particularly convincing and we can only encourage you to discover Kaleidoscope ; in what order remains to be seen. Do not hesitate to tell us in comments the organization for which you have opted.
