The commander-in-chief of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard, Hosein Salami, announced this Monday the successful test launch of a long-range ballistic missile from one of the Iranian Navy ships.
“A long-range ballistic missile has been successfully launched from a military ship of the Revolutionary Guard Navy in collaboration between the Aerospace Force of the Revolutionary Guard and the Revolutionary Guard Navy,” Salami explained in statements collected by the Iranian news agency Mehr.
“This is a new milestone that increases the scope of our influence and naval power to any extent desired because our ocean vessels can reach any part of the world,” added the head of the elite military and ideological body of the Iranian Armed Forces. .
Iran has recently used missiles to attack “terrorist” positions in Syria and an Israeli spy center in the Kurdistan region of Iraq.
