Hong Kong. China’s e-commerce company Alibaba has announced a new CEO and chairman in a major management reshuffle. The company said in a statement on Tuesday that Eddie Wu, chairman of the e-commerce group, will replace Daniel Zhang as CEO.
Zhang has been named CEO and chairman of Alibaba’s cloud computing unit. Joseph Tsai, the current executive vice president of Alibaba, will replace Eddie Wu as chairman of Alibaba Group. All these changes will be effective from 10 September.
