Kathmandu. Nepal’s eminent journalist Tribhuvan Paudyal is among the 68 people killed in the Yeti Airlines plane crash in Pokhara. It may be noted that a Yeti Airlines plane with 72 people including crew and passengers on board crashed while landing at Pokhara’s newly-built airport on Sunday.
This was the worst plane crash in Nepal in the last 30 years. Paudyal (37) was a member of the central executive of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ). Paudyal’s body has been identified.
The FNJ issued a statement condoling his death. In a statement, the organization said, “His death has caused an irreparable loss to the Nepali journalism world.” Paudyal, a resident of Pokhara, was associated with several media organizations including local newspaper, FM radio and TV channel. His family consists of his mother, wife and son.
