Pakistan’s security forces have killed all 33 terrorists who had taken hostage the premises of the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in Bannu, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has informed in the Parliament there that two commandos of Army’s Special Service Group (SSG) have been killed in this operation against these terrorists of banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). 10-11 have been injured.
The arrested terrorists had taken the anti-terrorist department hostage
Speaking on the floor of Pakistan’s Parliament-National Assembly, Defense Minister Asif said that 33 terrorists were arrested in the premises of the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) and one of them snatched a gun after hitting an employee on the head with a brick. After taking several employees hostage in this incident that took place late on Sunday evening, these terrorists had demanded to let them go safely to Afghanistan.
After this, Pakistan’s army started its operation. Defense Minister Asif told Parliament that “the operation was launched by the Special Service Group on 20 December at 12:30 pm and all the terrorists were killed”. According to him, the entire CTD premises was secured by 2:30 pm.
At the same time, he has targeted PTI President and former Prime Minister Imran Khan and termed the incident as a failure of the PTI government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Apart from this, 20 people were injured in one after the other bomb blasts in Khujdar, Balochistan on Monday.
