Capcom and developer Nebula Joy are preparing a new foray into the world of mobile games with Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat, a new game inspired by the famous saga. The title, which has been the subject of several betas and public tests, is now available for pre-order on the App Store and the Play Store.
After several years of development, the long-awaited Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat is finally ready to see the light of day. Designed by Capcom and Nebula Joy, the title is inspired by the famous Devil May Cry video game series. The promise ? Bringing mobile gamers a true action/role-playing experience with characters, weapons, bosses and more, taken from the classic.
Suitable for touch screens
Players will be treated to a whole new story in this free game which will include optional in-app purchases. Dante, Nero, Vergil and Lady are already confirmed as characters in the game. Even though the App Store pre-order page mentions a release date of December 2, this date can be considered tentative in the absence of any announcement. official.
Peak of Combat will feature several online modes like team battles and PvP battles. The game world seems to borrow elements from various installments in the series, including DMC3, DMC4 And DMC5. The game has undergone several public tests in China since 2021.
The gameplay of this new episode of DMC is close to that of its PC/console counterparts, while simplifying certain functions due to the touch screen. Players will have to plod their way through massive levels while slaying demons, of course. Compared to the “classic” versions of the game, several features have been revised, some are simply not available. For example, characters are limited to four weapons, some categories aren’t available, and there’s no auto mode, but there is aim assist.
The game will offer two difficulty modes against enemies: easy, which will be the default mode for new players, and hard which increases the power of enemies, the damage inflicted on heroes and… the rewards in red orbs, which will be more numerous .
This new game is developed by the Chinese company Nebula Joy, under the supervision of the Japanese development team of DMC. Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat is not the first mobile game in the series. Indeed, a version of Devil May Cry 4 had already been launched on mobile several years ago. Things have changed a lot since then, especially for Capcom, which has since confirmed its status as a gaming heavyweight on all platforms.
