Two planes collided with each other at a vintage air show in Dallas, USA on Saturday. In this fierce fire, 6 people including pilots in both the planes died. Both aircraft were participating in the Wings Over Dallas Air Show, also known as the World War II Air Show.
It is being told that one of these aircraft was a Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress. This combat aircraft played a decisive role in winning the war against Germany during World War II. The second plane is said to be the P63 King Cobra.
Videos posted on social media showed a plane breaking into several pieces after the collision and falling to the ground. After this the aircraft caught fire and smoke started rising from it.
Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson described the incident as a painful tragedy. In a tweet, he wrote that the video of the incident is heartbreaking. I pray for those who were killed in this flight that tried to entertain people and give them more information about World War I.
America’s Federal Aviation Administration has ordered an inquiry into the accident.
