Tripoli. Hannibal, the son of late Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, has been hospitalized in a serious condition after suffering a severe drop in blood sugar following a hunger strike in a Lebanese internal security forces prison.
Al-Hadath TV has given this information citing informed sources. Last month, Hannibal went on a hunger strike to protest his imprisonment in a Lebanese prison since 2015.
TV reported on Sunday that Hannibal’s blood sugar level dropped drastically due to the hunger strike and he was admitted to hospital in critical condition. It is noteworthy that Hannibal Gaddafi was captured on the Syrian-Lebanese border in 2011 after being granted political asylum in Syria following the assassination of Muammar Gaddafi in Libya.
