According to Pakistani media, wheat is produced in Baluchistan. Since there is a shortage of flour in Pakistan, the food department of the government of Balochistan has ordered the imposition of Section 144 in the entire state to prevent smuggling of wheat or flour produced in the state. The government says that the government has taken this decision to ensure that there is no shortage of flour in the state till the next wheat crop season.
The situation in Pakistan is so bad that there is a huge shortage of even basic food items. The prices of flour and sugar are skyrocketing in Pakistan. Rising inflation is snatching the morsel from the mouth of the poor people of Pakistan. According to media reports, the price of sugar in Balochistan has reached 130-200 Pakistani rupees per kg. At the same time, the price of 20 kg flour has reached Rs 2600-4000.
