The CBI filed a charge sheet in the Goa court against both the accused (Sudhir Sangwan and Sukhwinder Singh) in the death of actress and BJP leader Sonali Phogat. During this, the CBI told the court that both the accused forced Sonali Phogat to take drugs.
Sudhir Sangwan and Sukhwinder Singh, personal assistants of BJP leader Sonali Phogat, were accused of killing her by forcibly sedating her. Both were arrested in August.
According to NDTV, the Central Bureau of Investigation on Monday filed a charge sheet against both the accused in a Goa court. Let me tell you, before handing over the case to the CBI, the Goa Police had done a preliminary investigation. Citing CCTV footage, the Goa Police said that Sonali Phogat was forced to drink methamphetamine drugs (meth) by the accused at the famous restaurant-cum-nightclub Curlies on Anjuna beach.
It could be clearly seen in the CCTV that after drinking it, she could hardly walk. He was taken by his aides to the Grand Leonie Hotel, where he was staying. After this, the BJP leader was taken to St. Anthony’s Hospital the next morning, where he was declared brought dead.
