Enjoy The Last of Us series before it gets even more expensive to watch.
Successes come and go, but some never last very long. At the start of the year, fans of the license The Last of Us, horror action adventure games under the sign of zombies, were able to discover the series of the same name, adapted by HBO. Bella Ramsey and Pedro Pascal have brought the stakes of this project to perfection, which has been a huge success with gamers and neophytes alike.
We would almost forget that its release in France was more than uncertain a few days before its availability date in the United States, following the takeover of HBO by Warner Bros and their merger which lost the rights to the series of the subsidiary to OCS. It was Amazon who was finally able to recover them thanks to a master stroke. The firm has created the Warner Pass, a supplement to its basic subscription.
The Prime Video Warner Pass is finally complete: price, catalog… know everything
The Last of Us was not part of the catalog, the series being one of the only ones that can be watched by any Prime Video subscriber, at no additional cost. But take advantage of it, this will soon no longer be the case. From July 15, the series will integrate the Warner Pass also, along with the rest of the HBO series such as Game Of Thrones or Euphoria. This means that a basic Prime subscription will no longer suffice to watch it.
The Warner Pass is an additional service, available at the price of €9.99 per month which must be added to the €6.99 per month or €69.99 per year of the Amazon Prime subscription. This will remain valid as long as the Warner Pass exists, although HBO’s specially designed subscription, dubbed MAX, is allegedly on its way to being available in France.

The sequel is already in the works
The Last of Us currently only has one season. If it will soon be 6 months since the series was released, we already know some crisp details about the rest of Ellie’s adventures. As for the first burst of episodes, HBO is working hand in hand with Neil Druckmann, the creator of the video games. Everything will therefore remain very faithful to the original story, which will take a more than tragic turn from the start of season 2.
This aspect in particular – the details of which we won’t spoil – could be threatened in view of the growing attachment to the main characters. In terms of casting, Bella Ramsey and Pedro Pascal will both be back in the shoes of Ellie and Joel, a few years later when the young girl will be 19 years old. No trailer for the moment, but we expect to see season 2 land in 2024.
