The Russian Defense Minister, Sergei Shoigu, made a visit on Tuesday to the Russian troops deployed in eastern Ukraine, where he received information on “the current situation” of the Vostok group’s actions and applauded the “dignity” of the military.

Shoigu has inspected the Vostok group base and “has listened to commanders of formations that carry out combat missions in the main directions,” according to the Russian Defense Ministry through a statement published on its Telegram account.

“During his work, the Russian Defense Minister has paid special attention to the organization of comprehensive support for the troops involved in the special military operation, the organization of fortification work and the creation of conditions for the safe deployment of personnel on the terrain, as well as the work of the medical teams and units in the rear,” he said.

Thus, he emphasized that “Shoigu has thanked the soldiers who bravely carry out their tasks in the area of ​​the state military operation and has awarded decorations for their dedication and heroism.” “You serve with dignity, protect the homeland, help those who need help and do everything possible to bring Victory Day closer,” the minister concluded.
