The Court of Justice of the Federal District of Brasilia has admitted for processing the complaint filed by the Police against three Bolsonaro sympathizers who were preparing a bomb to be placed in a fuel tanker truck in the vicinity of the Brasilia International Airport.
The investigation began on December 24, after the truck driver noticed the presence of a foreign object in the vehicle and alerted the Police. The device was later detonated in a controlled manner and after the arrest of the suspects, an entire arsenal of weapons that was in their possession was seized.
The police complaint implicates Washington de Oliveira Sousa, Alan Diego dos Santos and Wellington Macedo de Souza for having produced the explosive device that Macedo himself later planted.
They are accused of a crime of explosion for endangering the life, physical integrity or property of other people by exploding or placing a dynamite device or another substance with similar effects” that is associated with a penalty of between 3 and 6 years in prison, reports TV Globo.
The Public Ministry asks to increase the sentence by a third for the aggravating circumstance that the objective was a truck loaded with fuel and emphasizes that everything was planned in the Bolsonaro camp outside the Army Headquarters in Brasilia.
“The objective of the defendants was to commit criminal offenses that could cause social commotion so that there would be a military intervention and the State of Siege would be decreed,” the complaint states.
