Chicago. One person died and 19 people were injured in a firing incident on Sunday in Chicago, USA. About 20 people have been shot in the firing that took place on Sunday morning.
According to the report, it happened in Willowbrook, located about 32.1 km southwest of Chicago. Deputy Chief Eric Swanson of the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office said at least 20 people were shot in the shooting, including one person who died. Eric Swanson said the cause of the shooting is not known. Those injured in the attack have been admitted to the hospital.
One eyewitness, Marchecia Avery, said that it appeared that people had gathered for a Juneteenth celebration. On hearing the sound of firing, we immediately lay down on the ground and continued to lie down till the sound of firing stopped. Craig Lotsey, another eyewitness, said that everyone started running after hearing the sound of firing and there was chaos at the scene.
