In Uttar Pradesh’s Amroha, a man and his wife have been arrested for killing their nephew. Monu Tyagi, 20, went missing on Sunday and his body was found near a canal in Malkapur Bhud Shumali village on Tuesday. Police said that Monu’s aunt Chanchal confessed to strangulating her with the help of her husband Bablu so that they could become the sole owners of the house.
Monu, whose parents passed away 10 years ago, lived with his 70-year-old grandfather Lavram Singh. Lavram had a house worth around Rs 5 lakh and Monu was his only grandson. Lavram’s daughter Chanchal and her husband also lived in the house and were looking for an opportunity to grab it.
SP (Amroha) Aditya Langeh said, Monu went missing from his house two days ago. His grandfather lodged a complaint at the Amroha police station. When the police reached his house, they started suspecting Chanchal. Later he accepted his crime. She and her husband have been arrested and sent to judicial custody.
