Voting took place in 68 assembly seats of Himachal Pradesh today. The counting of votes will take place on December 8 and the results will be declared on the same day. Over 55 lakh voters in the hill state sealed the fate of 412 candidates in EVMs in 68 constituencies. These include Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, Vikramaditya Singh, son of former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh and former BJP chief Satpal Singh Satti.
Around 66 percent voter turnout till 5 pm in Himachal Pradesh assembly elections. The final figure is expected to increase after the voting of the voters present at the polling stations.

34.68 percent polling was recorded in Churah assembly seat, 55.35 percent in Bharmour, 42.48 percent in Chamba. On the other hand, 38.44 percent polling is reported in Dalhousie, 55.97 percent voting in Bhatiyat assembly seat.
More than 55% voter turnout till 3 pm in Himachal Pradesh.
Till 1 pm, Sirmaur had the highest turnout of 42 percent, while Lahaul-Spiti had the highest turnout of 21 percent. Kangra, Kinnaur and Hamirpur recorded 35 percent polling, while in Una 40 percent people have cast their votes so far.
State Chief Minister Jairam Thakur has claimed that BJP is going to form the government once again in Himachal.
Congress leader Vikramaditya Singh said that Congress is going to form the government in Himachal Pradesh.
BJP President JP Nadda said that the voters of Himachal Pradesh are aware of their rights. He said that the atmosphere is in favor of the BJP.
17.98 percent voting was recorded till 11 am on Saturday for the assembly elections in Himachal Pradesh.
Voting was slow in the beginning, but gradually it picked up pace. Around 5 percent polling was recorded in the first hour.
In Mandi, the home district of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, the highest voter turnout of 21.92 percent was recorded till 11 am.
According to the Election Commission, 21.66 percent voting was recorded in Sirmaur district, 20.28 in Solan and 20 percent in Kinnaur. In Lahaul-Spiti district, the lowest 5 percent polling was recorded in the first three hours.
Only 4 percent polling in Himachal Pradesh till 9 am.
