Washington. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will leave for an official visit to the US on 22 June. Earlier, the US President House says that India and America have an important defense partnership and we have excellent cooperation within the Quad.

John Kirby, coordinator of strategic communications at the National Security Council, held a press conference at the White House. He said that we are very much looking forward to the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Answering a question here, he said that India and America cooperate with each other in the Quad. Defense partnership is also very important between us.

Let us tell you, in 2017, India, America, Japan and Australia together formed the Quad group to reduce China’s aggressive attitude in the Indo-Pacific region.

Narendra Modi has met three US Presidents in nine years as Prime Minister. This time the PM has been invited for dinner. PM Modi will address the joint session for the second time. Earlier in 2016, PM Modi addressed the Congress. A few days ago, Jagdeep Ahluwalia, founder of the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce, said that the Indian diaspora is thrilled about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s state visit and joint address to the US Congress. The visit will strengthen economic ties and investments in India as well as strengthen the friendship between the leaders of the two countries.

India never gives in to pressure

Padma Shri winner Kak had said that during the state visit, India’s focus would be on trade. Investment by tech companies in India will be facilitated. America seeks support from China to sway India to its side. India’s stand is always clear, the way India opposed Russia and did not make any statement against Ukraine.
