A woman named Molly Schuyler once again won the victory of an annual food competition held in Washington for the Independence Day of the United States, after eating a total of 34 hamburgers in 10 minutes.
It is the ninth time that Shuyler, from the state of Maryland, has won the competition organized every year by the Z-Burger. in the American capital and won the prize of 2,000 dollars.
The contestant beat out Dan “Killer” Kennedy of Pennsylvania, who came in second with 32 burgers, and Canadian Joel Hansen, who came in third with 27 burgers.
However, his performance was somewhat less than last year, when he managed to eat 37 hamburgers in ten minutes.
After winning, Schuyler declared that the competition is “a lot of fun” and that what she does with hamburgers she can also do with hot dogs or cheese treats.
The woman, a participant in dozens of food-eating contests, joked that to prepare herself she went to a buffet for breakfast.
In the United States, there are many competitions for swallowing food at high speed.but the most popular for Independence Day is the one organized every July 4 by the Nathan’s hot dog chain in New York.
The legendary Joey Chestnut won that contest again last year by gulping down 63 hot dogs in ten minutes.
