The Xbox Series S is becoming a bit more like its big sister and now comes in a semi-pro version.
Dear gamers, Xbox has heard your prayers and made them come true. During its annual showcase, which was rich in trailers and game announcements, the firm focused on its hardware news, as with the set of accessories Starfield. In the world of consoles, players can welcome a little news. It’s an upgraded version of the Xbox Series S with more storage and a new colorway.
“Back in Black” as AC/DC would say
For its new machine, Xbox returns to its origins and leaves white aside. Xbox Series S now comes in black for a sophisticated, nostalgic edge that should go with any gaming piece. But color isn’t everything. What is important is above all what changes inside the console. The new Xbox Series S now has 1TB of SSD storage, compared to 500GB for the original model.
This is already the storage capacity advocated by the Xbox Series X but in a smaller format, a more sober design and at a lower price. Today, Microsoft’s most powerful console is displayed at €499 and the Xbox Series S 500GB at €299. For the Black Carbon 1TB version, it will cost 349€. Only €50 more for double the storage, Microsoft is hitting hard.
In terms of performance, there is no difference to note, we still find the quality promised by the new generation, with gameplay up to 120 FPS (with compatible screens and games). In terms of games, all products of the current generation will of course be playable, no restrictions are to be expected.
